May 16, 2011 - Infinitt North America announced its G3 Radiology Information System/Picture Archiving and Communication System (RIS/PACS) has been tested and certified as meeting the modular electronic health record (EHR) requirements for ambulatory settings. It met the requirements set in the Office of the National Coordinator (ONC) Authorized Testing and Certification Body (ATCB) certification criteria.

Certification by an ATCB signifies that the Infinitt product has satisfied the certification criteria adopted by the secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS) for either eligible provider or hospital technology. The Infinitt RIS/PACS was certified through InfoGard, one of three ONC-authorized testing and certification bodies (ONC-ATCBs), on April 6.

The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, signed into law in February 2009, established financial incentives to eligible professionals and hospitals that demonstrate meaningful use of certified EHR technology. Eligible professionals and hospitals may qualify for incentive payments between 2011 and 2015.
