EMC Highlights New Midrange Storage Architecture

The CLARiiON CX3 UltraScale series is designed to deliver healthcare application performance, scalability, reliability and ease of use. The series offers full end-to-end 4 gigabit-per-second (Gb/s) fibre channel technology, which provides quick retrieval times, and enables fast disaster recovery of patient information and medical images.
The new CLARiiON UltraScale architecture reportedly simultaneously supports high-speed 2 and 4 Gb/s fibre channel disk drives as well as high-capacity 2 Gb/s low-cost fibre channel (LC/FC) disk drives for flexibility and to enable the consolidation of multiple information and storage tiers onto a single array.
