NovaRad to Feature RIS, PACS

The NovaRad Corp. NovaRIS 6.2 is the latest version of the Web-based, open standards RIS that generates reports, measures profitability and facilitates paperless management of patient records.
Featuring the ability to filter workflow by modality and launch dictation from workflow, NovaRIS also contains specialized worklists and reports for stalled and cancelled procedures. NovaRad developed NovaRIS on the same platform as its PACS product, NovaPACS. Together, the systems enable fast retrieval of images and information from any web-enabled computer.
NovaPACS is NovaRad’s enterprise level, scalable, complete, fast and effective PACS solution, according to the manufacturer. Offering 3D imaging, fast image retrieval, a full-feature viewer with intuitive interface, brokerless integration and all-inclusive support, NovaPACS was designed for budget-conscious hospitals and imaging centers.
NovaRad’s NovaPACS 6.6, which will be featured at RSNA 2007, is embedded with MIP (maximum intensity projection) and MPR (multiplanar reconstruction) tools to build and view 3D images directly from the PACS workstation.
The MIP and MPR tools embedded in NovaPACS eliminate the need for radiologists to do post-processing reconstructions from the modalities and for technologists to redo reconstructions specified by radiologists.
