April 30, 2007 - The American Society for Therapeutic Radiology and Oncology (ASTRO) and Imaginis Corp. recently announced a Web agreement that will provide radiation technologists, therapists, and oncologists with access to extensive information on women's cancers and health conditions.
ASTRO is providing a link from its patient education Web site, www.rtanswers.org, to the Imaginis Web site, www.imaginis.com, expanding the outreach Imaginis has with the public interested in breast cancer and other women's health topics.
ASTRO and Imaginis are expanding their respective collaborative efforts to increase the availability of reliable Web-based health information. Recent studies show that the public considers the Internet as the most trustworthy media source. Research shows that more than 31.5 million consumers say the Internet is their first and primary learning resource for health information.
