Mobile PACS Application Added for Smart Phone Access

January 3, 2011 — A portable viewing application that interfaces with an existing RIS/PACS/cardiology PACS for access to images and reports has been introduced.

The Infinitt Mobile PACS is a Web-based PACS that includes a broad range of applications, including radiology information system (RIS), cardiology picture archiving and communications system (PACS), radiology PACS and reporting applications. It all can now be accessed on mobile devices.

WIth the Mobile PACS, physicians can view both stored and live medical images, patient histories and reports on demand from their iPhones, iPads and other smart phones. It also allows radiologists to retrieve worklists, images, reports and other healthcare data wirelessly. All communications and images are delivered in a HIPAA-compliant manner over secure encrypted channels to ensure the confidentiality and privacy of patient data.
