January 3, 2011 – Two new classes — “Advanced Computed Tomography (CT) Imaging for Technologists” and “Advanced Non-Contrast Magnetic Resonance Angiography (MRA)” — are being offered to educate technologists on the latest applications available with their Toshiba technology. They are offered by Toshiba America Medical Systems Inc.’s Education Center in Irvine, Calif.

The Advanced CT Imaging for Technologists class is based on the Aquilion 16, 32 and 64 systems. It is a three-day course offered quarterly that covers dose management tools, cardiac review, SURE technologies and cerebral blood perfusion. The class is intended for those technologists with general experience using Toshiba’s CT equipment.

The Advanced Non-Contrast MRA course is a two-day class covering time-SLIP imaging, FASE – black blood imaging, steady state free precession, contrast improved angiography and fresh blood imaging. Also for technologists with experience using Toshiba MR systems, this class is focused on continuing education in non-contrast techniques.
