November 22, 2010 – An entry-level digital radiography system will be unveiled at RSNA 2010. DRxpress, by Imix Americas, will provide digital radiography (DR) accessibility to low-volume facilities.

It will provide the benefits of DR, including improved throughput, immediate image display and the ability to share and manage digital X-ray images, at a price comparable to CR or film. Facilities will also have the ability to trade up or swap components as the practice grows and technology evolves. The system utilizes the company’s charge-coupled device (CCD)-based digital detector, compact positioning device and optional image management software. In order to ensure the affordability, the company will offer low-cost monthly payment plans that include hardware, software, service and obsolescence protection.

In addition, Imix will be showcasing its ImixPanoRad and ImixIntuition DR systems. Both offer advanced robotics, Scandinavian construction and compact industrial design and can be integrated with Imix’s fixed, tethered or wireless detectors.

The ImixIntuition will be configured with the ImixCube, the first self-supporting overhead tube crane, which provides the advantages of an overhead support crane without the need for ceiling suspension. It can be used in rooms with ceiling heights as low at 8 feet, 3 inches. The RadStation will also be on display. It is a transportable digital imaging system that can be moved and connected to any existing radiography system to deliver immediate imaging.
