November 12, 2010 – Medicalis, a radiology workflow solutions developer has acquired RadWorkFlow from Inland Imaging and Providence Healthcare. The acquisition lets Medicalis combine its productivity platform with the RadWorkFlow system.

The new solution will allow radiologists to seamlessly connect multiple picture archiving and communication systems (PACS), radiology information systems (RIS) and/or electronic health records (EHR) across distributed enterprises.

“The challenges that healthcare providers face today places them in a position of increased competition and decreased reimbursement, therefore improvement in productivity, while being able to measure the quality of their work, is at the core of helping these providers meet demands in a time of rapid change,” said Oran Muduroglu, president and CEO, Medicalis.

The system can increase productivity by up to 14 percent compared to traditional federated solutions. It simultaneously provides measurable data to ensure compliance with the American College of Radiology (ACR) and the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO).

It ensures that all radiologists across an enterprise have a shared workflow paradigm that optimizes sub-specialty reads while automatically load-balancing between resources. Additionally, it offers built-in quality modules for peer review critical finding and critical test results management.
