October 11, 2010 — Jefferson Radiology, the largest radiology private practice group in Connecticut, has installed the somo•v Insight Class automated breast ultrasound (ABUS) system. The system is designed to improve early detection of cancer in women with dense breast tissue.

The somo•v Insight Class ABUS was developed as the foundation technology for U-Systems’ ground-breaking, prospective Somo•Insight Clinical Study, the largest clinical study ever conducted by an ultrasound company. It incorporates the latest automated ultrasound technology, delivering image quality and streamlining clinical workflow.

Jefferson Radiology offers a full spectrum of diagnostic imaging and interventional services. It has nine outpatient office locations and also provides comprehensive radiology services to a number of hospital partners. Jefferson also has two Women’s Imaging Centers that are dedicated to meeting the unique imaging needs of our female patients.
