Philips CX50

September 15, 2010 — Designed for use in point-of-care settings, (bringing the ultrasound to the patient, not the patient to ultrasound), the CX50 POC is now available. The compact, portable system can provide reliable information to clinicians during ultrasound-guided regional anesthesia and ultrasound-guided pain management. The technology can also be applied in critical/intensive care and emergency care settings.

The CX50 POC, from Philips, offers a broad range of capabilities needed for ultrasound-guided procedures and focused exams, including cardiac, vascular access, lung, abdominal, ob/gyn and musculoskeletal. It is well-suited for: technically difficult exams and procedures, including those for patients who are obese, unable to move or on ventilators; physicians who require a high level of confidence for point-of-care imaging decisions and procedures; customers who value intuitive system controls and workflow features such as quick, one-button automated image optimization and customers who want a system which offers advanced capabilities that can grow with them as their ultrasound program expands.
