August 17, 2010 — DISC announced that as of August 1, 2010, Associated X-Ray Imaging Corp., Haverhill, MA is the new representative for DISC products throughout the Northeastern United States.
Pat Pyers, president of DISC, says, “Associated X-Ray Imaging Corporation is a well established CR/DR company and will be an integral part of our sales within the US. We welcome their expertise, knowledge and long-term relationships with our mutual customer base. They bring to DISC a strong and successful business which fits well into our new business plan and strategy.”
DISC manufactures the QA Radchex and QA Mamchex meters. These meters are designed to check and document the performance of mammography and general radiology machines and compare CR to film/screen systems. Service providers, biomedical engineers, OEMs, medical physicists and radiation state inspectors can use these meters to assess, calibrate and troubleshoot the x-ray tube, CR plate reader and AEC.
These products are beneficial to help reduce the dose to the patient while maintaining the integrity of the imaging system. New products will soon be released for DR imaging systems as well as for CT early next year.
