July 9, 2010 – Siemens announced today the availability of its syngo.fourSight Workplace, an image management tool for enhanced patient throughput and department workflow in obstetrical ultrasound. It provides off-system 3-D/4-D volume manipulation and 2-D image and clip review for a variety of Siemens’ ultrasound platforms.

The syngo.fourSight Workplace offers busy OB practices, hospitals and imaging centers a comprehensive toolset for volume image manipulation, including thick slice imaging, multislice imaging and various rendering modes. Amnioscopic rendering, a Siemens-exclusive technology, provides a user-movable light source to produce photo-realistic 3-D images of the fetus. Skeletal rendering, a Siemens-proprietary 3-D/4-D rendering technique, delivers true volumetric imaging with accurate spatial resolution for enhanced visualization of the fetal skeleton.

The syngo.fourSight Workplace also features true stereoscopic views of 3-D images of the fetus, offering a rewarding experience for parents, while delivering practical benefits in medicine.
