DICOMetrix

Double Black Imaging (DBI) will be showcasing at RSNA 2009 DICOMetrix, a proactive DICOM image flow and network performance monitoring solution.

DICOMetrix is a resource tool that enables PACS administrators, directors and IT personnel to actively monitor, historically track system performance, and alert radiology and PACS support staff about system slow-downs and outages. DBI will be showing all 3 tiers of this software client at RSNA as well as an upgraded version of the enterprise server.

The first tier is a client that sits at the workstation level (Rad station, CD Burner, Rimage, Film scanners, etc.) and monitors how fast the images are coming into that station. The second tier is the DICOMetrix Server that sits on the DICOM Server and monitors IPs sending into this server as well as outgoing traffic.

The Third tier is DBI’s new web-based enterprise solution (WebDES) that monitors all clients and servers in one easy to access location. After base-lining the enterprise, it also allows a user to set alerts for notification if any levels drop below specified tolerances as well as gather data for quick reporting. This early warning system proactively tracks DICOM image flow and network problems before they become patient care problems.

DBI develops X-Cal proprietary display system calibration software to bundle with WIDE LCD Systems and Graphic Controllers and DICOMetrix PACS Performance Monitoring software. DBI is dedicated to developing unique, innovative imaging solutions that make imaging more efficient.
