Aspyra will unveil the latest versions of its integrated RIS/PACS, PACS, and RIS products (V6.5 AccessNET and AccessRAD, and V5.5 CyberRAD).

In addition to the IHE compliant hanging and display capabilities for digital mammography studies (pending FDA clearance), other enhancements made specifically in AccessNET PACS v6.5 are primarily targeted for improving the performance of accessing and reading radiological images. These include more intelligent compression for transferring images and dictation from remote locations and improvements in the navigation and functionality of commonly used imaging tools; management of hang protocols and window / level presets on a system level as well as user preference; the use of hang protocols for closely related display configurations if the specific configuration is not available; and the use on-board functionality of the Matrox Xenia card for much improved real-time image processing.

AccessRAD RIS/PACS v6.5 features the ability to create internal orders for studies sent from outside referring facilities diagnostic interpretation via DICOM. These orders are automatically are processed by the RIS, thereby optimizing workflow, as well as increasing revenue by preventing lost charges due to missing or incorrect orders. Reports created for these outside studies can have tailored report templates and automatically send signed reports back to the outside facility via fax or HL7.

CyberRAD RIS v5.5 includes new methods for creating, printing, and scanning of registration forms and modality questionnaires along with an improved scanning process; an improved scheduling process and method of rescheduling or canceling of patient exams.
