August 27, 2009 - Smart Results OB reporting and image management solutions help streamline a practice’s workflow and prevent entry errors. The solutions are now available to customers in the United States and are expected to be available in Canada during fall of 2009.

Philips Smart Results OB reporting solution is designed to help remove time-consuming steps involved in ultrasound reporting for clinicians. The software helps to increase efficiency by integrating and automating the workflow process. Instead of manually entering exam information, checking measurements and transcriptions for accuracy, Smart Results OB takes data from an ultrasound system and automatically populates report fields to help save time and prevent entry errors. Reports can easily be shared with referring doctors via email or fax. Completed reports can be stored to an EMR system or PACS.

The solution produces reports that can be configured by the practice to meet its needs. The system can be set up to perform required calculations according to personalized specifications and to create related charts. Gestational tables, growth curves and pathology lists are all customizable and easily accessible via a workstation or through the Internet.

Smart Results OB is also available in a suite version which allows the reporting tool to be combined with image management, viewing and archiving. Smart Results OB Suite provides real-time viewing of images to help further automate ultrasound workflow.

Smart Results OB reporting and image management solutions are compatible with Philips’ and other major manufacturers’ ultrasound systems.
