August 5, 2009 - Vital Images Inc. introduced Vitrea Enterprise Suite, which combines the company’s 2D, 3D and 4D clinical applications and services with a centralized solution for managing volumetric image data across the medical enterprise. The centralized data management solution, called Vital Image Management System (VIMS), delivers universal access to a single source of imaging data across the medical enterprise.
The suite addresses the CIO’s challenge of managing multiple, disparate advanced visualization systems. It is also designed to help improve performance, ensure scalability and redundancy, and reduce total cost of ownership. Because Vitrea Enterprise Suite does not require proprietary hardware, customers can leverage their existing infrastructure. In addition, they can select deployment options to meet the unique needs of their clinical environments – via Web browser, a stand-alone workstation, integrated into a PACS, or via an electronic medical records (EMR) or hospital information management system.
