PACS California Orthopedic Center Adopts Viztek’s Opal-ORTHO PACS

March 12, 2009 – Precision Orthopedics in Salinas, CA, selected Viztek’s Opal-ORTHO PACS for digital image management.

Viztek dealer, Merry X-Ray in San Francisco, completed the installation for the seven-physician orthopedic practice. Precision Orthopedics caters to a diverse patient base with physicians trained for a broad spectrum of anatomical specialties.

Before the installation, the group worked in a much smaller facility, with one standard X-ray room. All exams were film-based and storage began to take a toll on the existing space. In December 2008, the practice moved to larger quarters and went live with Viztek’s Opal-ORTHO PACS and a CR unit.

Opal-ORTHO PACS is fully Web-based and offers a highly specialized tool-set developed exclusively for the orthopedic practice.
