February 19, 2009 — RIS Concepts released a new patient data access portal option for its flagship enterprise RCI-RIS, a browser-based multifacility application that supports a comprehensive range of advanced RIS features.
Using the portal, patients registered with a radiology practice’s site can log in over the Internet and download their reports and related data in real time, using a HIPAA-compliant password. Patients also have access to the radiologist’s final signed reports.
RCI-RIS provides features including real-time scheduling, dictation, transcription, patient demographics, document scanning and billing. The RIS solution also offers a proprietary HL7 engine, providing economical and efficient integration with other healthcare IT applications.
