February 18, 2009 - InSite One Inc. said today that the InDex Archive has reached a new milestone with over 31 million studies in this single object repository representing approximately 4.5 percent of the U.S. diagnostic imaging patient population in 2008.

This active repository of cardiology, radiology, mammography and other non-X-ray images represents a perspective of data generated from multiple vendors across the imaging marketplace and includes tremendous variation in imaging utilization. Created and consumed as an on-demand storage model in a growing number of clinical sites, the InDex service provides protection from the variation in exam sizes by a predictable fee-per-study cost model. This consumption model aims to allow healthcare institutions the freedom to preserve cash and to spend capital dollars on programs that can create new sources of revenue.

Newly contracted institutions added to InSite One’s over 500 client sites include Vanguard Health Systems in Nashville, TN; Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA; and Physicians Hospital in El Paso, TX. A total of 23 imaging center and hospital contracts have been received in the last 90 days.
