March 3, 2008 - im3D Medical Imaging Lab will present the CAD-Breast MRI, a diagnostic and theranostic prototype that applies CAD precision and accuracy to DCE-MRI results to better prevent and detect breast cancer, at ECR 2008, March 7-11 in Vienna, Austria.
CAD-Breast MRI is designed to improve the specificity of DCE-MRI, and automatically calculates and processes the diagnostic parameters used to identify and diagnose potential tumors in an objective. This system may be able to help reduce the number of biopsies performed by accurately detecting and precisely quantifying the malignancy (or not) of identified lesions.

Also on showcase is the CAD-Colon diagnostic workstation featuring enhanced PACS-compatible reporting capabilities. Users can choose to save the individual patient diagnostic report as a PDF file, a single DICOM image file or as sequential DICOM image files, one image per page. CAD-Colon automatically detects suspect areas within a 3-D model of the patient’s colon, aiming to help the radiologist increase his diagnostic accuracy and reduce the overall reading time.
