February 27, 2008 - Carestream Health enhanced its Kodak Carestream Digital Dashboard to include proactive notification for system events by email or text messaging, also supporting Kodak Carestream RIS/PACS and Kodak Carestream Information Management Solutions.
The system is said to let users monitor equipment performance, storage utilization and user volumes, from virtually anywhere, and also enables administrators to verify network communication of other vendors' devices.
Another enhancement includes the ability for Radiology and PACS administrators to elect to receive user-configurable email or text message alerts for issues ranging from disk space and table space thresholds to disruptions in network connectivity and failed processes. Alerts can be modified at any time, and notifications can be sent to other users when the primary administrator is out of the office or is not on call. Users can also receive on-screen notifications so they will be alerted to a system event when working in another application on their desktop.
Administrators can instantly communicate with radiologists, physicians and other system users with the new integration of the IBM Lotus Sametime module.
