New Agreement Adds ILUMA, Extends GE’s 3D Imaging Portfolio

September 19, 2007 – GE Healthcare recently announced that through an exclusive distribution agreement with IMTEC Corp., GE is now the sole distributor of the ILUMA Cone Beam CT Scanner to medical professionals in the U.S., providing radiographic imaging for sinus, skull base, head and neck and temporal bone assessment.

The ILUMA delivers high quality medical CT image resolution with 14-bit images as thin as 0.09 millimeters voxel size. Voxel size is the standard measure of 3D image resolution. The attractive, compact ILUMA Scanner is reportedly the lightest in-office CT scanner on the market at 770 pounds. Additionally, the scanner has a small footprint which may be important to medical professionals where space is frequently a key consideration.
