Covidien Displays First Non-Magnetic IV Pump

July 18, 2007 – Covidien recently showcased its Mridum MRI infusion system, reportedly the first and only non-magnetic IV pump to help eliminate potential entanglements due to tubing-intensive workarounds and deliver real patient-side convenience to an MRI suite, at the American Healthcare Radiology Administrators (AHRA), July 8-12 in Orlando, FL.
The Mridium system helps to achieve faster setups and higher patient throughput and supports efforts to improve overall patient safety. The Mridium MRI infusion system includes an optional wireless remote control, an integrated does calculator with drug library, a large display and operates on AC or battery.
