Landmarks Created for Orthopedic MRI Allow for Indentation-Free Imaging

July 16, 2007 – The Beekley Corp. recently introduced OrthoSPOTS, the newest addition of its line of MR-SPOTS skin markers for MRI, which provide precise localization on extremities and smaller areas of concern without distorting pathology or causing discomfort to the patient.

OrthoSPOTS feature a low, flat profile that eliminates indentation and provides the interpreting radiologist with an image that clearly depicts the area of interest. OrthSPOTS contain Radiance, an imaging liquid exclusive to Beekley that is signal intense on all sequences, ensuring that the markers will image brightly and consistently, and because of its small size, the marker will image only on the slices specific to the area marked.
