Agfa HealthCare will introduce at HIMSS 2007 new suite patient-centric healthcare IT solutions to steps develop electronic clinical pathways.
The HIT suite includes Agfa’s IMPAX Data Center for enterprise-wide storage of all multi-media patient-related data; the iPlan Enterprise Scheduler for web-based scheduling throughout a hospital’s continuum of care; and two works-in-progress – the Clinical Dashboard designed to provide an integrated view of all patient information from existing clinical systems and ORBIS, a hospital and clinical information system (HIS/CIS).
At the show, demonstrations will focus on a complete Nurse Charting and Documentation module aimed at optimally supporting the documentation requirements within the clinical nursing departments. Through an industry-unique Graphical Workflow Designer, users can tailor the implementations to the specific needs of their clinical processes including assessments, care plans, interventions and discharge summaries. This fully automates a patient’s set of clinical pathways and streamlines the nursing workflow with major improvements in clinical productivity and efficiency.
Agfa’s automated clinical workflows will demonstrate: patient registration and entry into a variety of automated clinical paths; drag and drop patients from an eWaiting list to the Graphical Unit View for heads up display of patient management and alerts; schedule or order any exam; patients’ trip through the imaging portion of a clinical pathway in Radiology or Cardiology; how results are distributed throughout the enterprise; and how patients take home their records and manage their healthcare remotely.
