Georgetown Chooses Barco’s CORONIS for Diagnostic Imaging

Barco’s diagnostic display systems have been selected by Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, DC. As part of its Philips PACS implementation, the hospital recently installed a combination of grayscale and high-luminance color display systems for use with several radiology modalities. The installment marks a new breakthrough for Barco’s unique ’Diagnostic Luminance’ color technology in diagnostic environments.
“We originally saw the next generation CORONIS display system at the 2005 RSNA event and liked what we saw”, says Terry Clark, director of Radiology at Georgetown University Hospital. “After a departmental demonstration, we were convinced that the image quality and versatility provided by the new CORONIS far exceeded that of its competitors.”
