INFINITT North America (INA) has INFINITT Smart-NET, an applications service provider (ASP) version of PACS that reportedly allows even small physician practices to go filmless. The company said it may be the only approach to PACS that can be scaled for low imaging volumes, extending electronic imaging benefits to physician practices.
The company said the Smart-NET is a “pay-per-procedure” program that does not have a minimum volume charge. The system reportedly includes unlimited user licenses.
The system can also include an interface to an RIS, HIS, EMR or practice management system, dictation, transcription and CD burning capabilities and an optional caching server for local storage. A high-speed processor provides fast image retrieval, and the system is extremely secure.
