May 19, 2009 - Viztek introduces a full-featured mammography viewer that seamlessly integrates with its Opal-RAD PACS solution as well as any PACS supporting DICOM Query/Retreive to deliver high quality display of detailed mammography exams.
The new multimodality viewer eliminates the need for a separate mammography workstation and utilizes the same image database as general patient images for streamlined image management and storage. It supports diagnostic quality viewing of full-field digital mammography, (FFDM), CR and MR breast images.
In addition to standard PACS features, the new mammo viewer’s specialized mammography features include Quad Zoom, chest wall justification with back-to-back breasts and measurement tools. It supports all major computer-aided detection (CAD) systems, which can be launched from a viewer toolbar. The new Viztek mammography viewer is configurable for simultaneous gray-scale and color monitor capabilities.
When combined with Viztek Opal-RAD PACS, the mammography viewer supports such advanced features as auto-routing of annotations and reports to referring physicians and web-based anywhere, any time workflow. Full Images may be sent with optional compression for diagnostic use.
