University of Tennessee Medical Center Implements SinglePointe

June 2, 2008 – Omnicell Inc. and the University of Tennessee Medical Center today announced the successful implementation of SinglePointe, an automated patient-specific medication management solution.

At ASHP 2008 Summer Meeting and Exhibition (June 8-11), Ominicell will demonstrate the SinglePointe to attendees.

“With the use of the SinglePointe solution, the University of Tennessee Medical Center is taking a leap forward in medication management by providing a single point of access for all patient medications,” said Richard Caldwell, senior product manager, Medication Systems, Omnicell. "In addition to providing storage and control for patients’ home medications, the SinglePointe solution provides an intelligent, just-in-time restock process and automatic management of discontinued medications, transfer patient medications, and discharged patient medications."
