April 21, 2008 - Ultrasonix Medical Corp. experienced a growth in revenue for Q108, undergoing a 20 percent increase over the same period in 2007, acknowledging its strong growth to new advances on the Sonix OP and Sonix SP systems as well as substantial market growth in the emergency medicine market.

Increased sales for the Sonix OP and Sonix SP platforms can be attributed to a new technology, EPI Extended Pulse Imaging. EPI uses a special signal technology that reportedly improves penetration and maintains image quality in technically difficult patients.

For the past 8 years, Ultrasonix Smart Ultrasound Systems have worked to addressed the needs of emerging users of ultrasound, including internists, emergency room physicians, OB/GY, and general surgery, to deliver better patient care.
