Toshiba CT System Designed to Provide High Quality Cardiac Imaging

heart

The Step & Shoot Cardiac from Toshiba is the company’s newest cardiac imaging innovation for its CT 64-slice configuration, providing high quality CT images of the coronary arteries and heart anatomy at low radiation dose levels and short breath-holds.

Offered as an option for the Philips Brilliance CT, 64-slice configuration, the Step & Shoot Cardiac allows the table to automatically move and stop the rotor within gantry spins to acquire images.

Utilizing a 4-centimeter collimation in the z direction and axial prospective ECG-gated acquisition, this option allows the 64-channel CT to achieve full heart coverage with sub-millimeter, isotropic resolution within a short breathhold. Additionally, the acquisition automatically detects arrhythmias and reacquires the anatomical area of interest when the heart rhythm stabilizes.
