April 3, 2009 - SonoSite Inc. will demonstrate its latest advances in connectivity and workflow integration technology on its SonoSite Turbo ultrasound system platform, during the Healthcare Information and Management System Society (HIMSS) 2009 Conference April 4-8 in Chicago.

As a participant at the HIMSS’ Interoperability Showcase, SonoSite will conduct live demonstrations on its M-Turbo system to show how it communicates with multiple DICOM compliant products to expedite workflow. Both the M-Turbo and S Series ultrasound product lines support the following DICOM functions of storage commitment, modality performed procedure step (MPPS), modality work list (MWL), print and archive.

SonoSite’s participation in the HIMSS exhibit is based on its success at the 2009 North America Connectathon, in February, when SonoSite passed a series of tests that successfully demonstrated its versatile communication capabilities.
