April 10, 2007 - Siemens Medical Solutions' Ultrasound Division recently introduced its 9L4 Multi-D and 17L5 HD, high performance imaging transducers created for the ACUSON Sequoia echocardiography platform, at the fifty-sixth annual Scientific Session of the American College of Cardiology.
Multi-D array transducer technology reportedly provides uniform elevation focusing for improved contrast and spatial resolution. The 17L5 HD transducer is said to improve vascular image detail, as well as overall resolution in imaging of the breast, small parts and complex masses. The product's patent-pending ergonomic design allows users to grip the transducer in their palm, reportedly reducing hand strain while scanning.
