In today’s healthcare environment, most patients have multiple diagnostic tests with multiple clinicians. The medical challenge is to provide continuity to the information workflow while upholding protection of each provider’s information systems. InDex Link creates a third-party managed solution for InDex clients with other facilities to securely exchange DICOM exam data. The InDex Link service provides a one-to-many service where each connection with proper permissions can store and query/pull from the shared service. Each connection supports exam sharing and viewing with the native PACS without the requirement to directly access the remote institution’s digital platforms.
