February 6, 2009 - The Association of Residents in Radiation Oncology (ARRO) elected three new members to its executive committee: Karen L. De Amorim Bernstein, M.D., of Albert Einstein College in Bronx, N.Y.; Luqman Dad, M.D., of Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, N.Y.; and Vinai Gondi, M.D., of the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis., will each serve two-year terms.

ARRO is the resident organization within ASTRO. It currently represents nearly 600 radiation oncology residents in the U. S. Founded in 1983, the objectives of ARRO are to formalize resident input into professional organizations affecting radiation oncology residents, to disseminate information and to foster communication among residents. Membership is free and automatic to all residents and clinical fellows in accredited radiation oncology programs in the U.S.
