November 13, 2008 – Oncentra Brachy by Nucletron received regulatory clearance from Health Canada for its volume-based treatment planning solution designed to optimize cancer treatment planning with brachytherapy.
Oncentra Brachy, a fully DICOM-compatible treatment planning system, features optimization algorithms to shorten planning time. Among the many features the new solution provides are 3D contouring and margining tools to identify regions of interest (ROIs) on CT or in multimodality imaging environments using image registration for CT, MR and PET data.
Among the numerous luminary sites that have begun using Oncentra Brachy are U.S. Oncology (Kansas City Cancer Center), The Medical University of South Carolina, and University of California San Francisco (UCSF).
