Novarad Improves Imaging Software With Introduction of NovaGlass

May 16, 2014 — Novarad Corp. is introducing and demonstrating NovaGlass at the 2014 annual meeting of the Society for Imaging Informatics in Medicine (SIIM) in Long Beach, Calif.

Designed to leverage Novarad PACS (picture archiving and communications systems) and RIS (radiology information systems) solutions, NovaGlass resides on enterprise-grade appliances and provides users with access to full imaging features while significantly enhancing operating speeds and choice of workstations.

Utilizing virtual application and desktop technology from Sphere 3D Inc., NovaGlass delivers Novarad software and a VNA (vendor neutral archive) solution, Marz, on a variety of devices including PCs, Macs, iPads, laptops, Android tablets and Google Chromebooks.

“This latest offering once again demonstrates our commitment to deliver industry-leading solutions to our customers. This new platform will allow users to have access to a variety of new features, and deployment choices that were not previously available from imaging software,” said Tim Law, president of Novarad.

Peter Tassiopoulos, CEO of Sphere 3D, said, “Novarad has been at the forefront of innovation in imaging for years. We are very excited to be able to contribute to this latest innovation which sets a new standard for speed, performance, and virtual computing.”
