November 6, 2013 — Carestream debuted new image acquisition software that will include optional features for its computed radiography (CR) and digital radiography (DR) systems including:
- Bone suppression software, which is 510(k) pending, that is designed to create a companion image to suppress the appearance of posterior ribs and clavicles and enhance the visualization of soft tissue in the chest and
- IHE Dose Reporting that is intended to collect and distribute comprehensive dose information from Carestream DR and CR systems to a facility’s picture archiving and communications system (PACS).
