June 23, 2010 – A new breast imaging workstation promises to improve the efficiency of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) image processing in breast cancer analysis. Toshiba America Medical Systems announced the introduction of the Aegis breast imaging workstation this week.
The Aegis breast workstation offers real-time 4-D (3-D plus time) image processing, as well as dedicated breast MRI algorithms, including kinetic curves and color maps and customizable reports. The workstation also features real-time interactive control of large data sets, advanced hanging protocols, automated reporting and interventional guidance to multiple targets.
