Sun Nuclear has built on the success of its original MapCHECK, by introducing MapCHECK 2, an IMRT quality assurance solution designed to offer more detectors, at this year’s ASTRO.

MapCHECK 2 offers 1536 detectors, which is greater than 2D arrays and more than triple the number of detectors as the original MapCHECK. The largest field size is 32 x 26cm; which is said to be the largest of any 2D array and more than double the size of the original MapCHECK. The highest detector density is 7mm uniform distribution across the entire array. A larger field size and higher detector density means that multiple measurements for head and neck, breast, lung and boost fields are a thing of the past, saving precious time.
