Quest International Inc. recently released an LCD replacement for CRT-based monitors designed for use in cath lab applications and other radiological modalities.
Including a plug and Go mounting base, available exclusively from Quest International, the Q18LCDPD is a 1.3MP, 18-inch, high-brightness, high-contrast, grayscale monitor. The Quest-designed mounting platform and Plug and Go features reportedly allow the unit to be installed using existing mount and slide hardware, working to decrease installation time.
Because there is no loss of focus or phosphor burn, the rate of repair or replacement is reduced, according to the company. LCD backlight technology reportedly requires less power, the monitor runs cooler, and with the reduction in radiation emission, the Q18LCDPD is said to replace legacy CRT based monitors. Allowing for wide viewing angles, height and angular adjustments, this design works to address all user requirements.
