January 14, 2009 - Kubtec has received 510(k) pre-market certification notification certification to market its XPERT 20 digital specimen radiography device.

The XPERT 20 is reportedly the most compact digital cabinet X-ray system to the KUBTEC line of specimen
radiography systems. With a footprint of less than 10 inches by 12 inches, the XPERT 20 is designed specifically for the biopsy suite. When compact size, ease of use and high resolution images are demanded, the XPERT 20 provides the ability to locate the smallest micro-calcifications in seconds.

With zero warm up time, the XPERT 20 offers AEC (automatic exposure control), auto-calibration, automatic window leveling and the ability to send multiple images, with annotations to PACS. The XPERT 20 is available with the option of two digital detectors sizes, 2 inches-by-2 inches or 2 inches-by-4 inches, and DICOM compliant software.
