New module provides quick and simple access to specialized post-processing software

June 20, 2012 — Image Information Systems has introduced its iQ-Launcher module as a free tool for its radiology workstation, iQ-View (versions 2.7 and above), to exchange DICOM (digital imaging and communications in medicine) and non-DICOM data bidirectionally between iQ-View and various measurement tools.

iQ-Launcher enables iQ-View to automatically open specialized post-processing software from DICOM images for options such as orthopedic templating, cochlear implant planning, cancer analysis and more. Even image processing tools such as Windows Paint, Adobe Photoshop and others can be activated.

Multiple image analysis plugins can be integrated in a single iQ-View station simultaneously in order to process virtually any DICOM or JPEG data.

A free download of iQ-Launcher is available on the manufacturer’s website.
