Gammex Introduces Next Generation of Solid Water Phantoms

Phantoms bring improved uniformity and durability to therapy and imaging

November 7, 2014 — Solid Water HE is the next generation of solid water phantoms by Gammex. It is designed for both therapy and imaging with improved uniformity and durability in mind. A wide range of sizes and dimensions are available, with features including:

  • Moldable material for custom requests 
  • Rigid construction to eliminate broken ion chambers 
  • Wide range of applications and uses 
  • Standard ranges of thicknesses from 0.1 to 6.0 cm 
  • Ion chamber cavities free from air pockets or voids 
  • Economical
  • Design meeting AAPM's Task Group 51 protocol recommendations
  • Assurances of measurement accuracy and reproducibility of chamber placement within the radiation beam
