May 2, 2008 – FUJIFILM Medical Systems, in collaboration with The National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF), donated its Fuji Computed Radiography for Mammography (FCRm) system to the Nancy Reagan Breast Center in Simi Valley, CA and Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., marking the first installation of full field digital mammography technology at each facility.

Both donations were made as part of “Images of Health: Mammograms for a Million Moms,” Fujifilm’s national breast cancer awareness and education program in conjunction with the NBCF. The goal of the program is to spread the message of the importance of mammography in the early detection of breast cancer and encourage one million more women to get the life-saving screening.
