Candelis Inc. will showcase its recently FDA cleared ImageGrid Mammography Web Viewer and ImageGrid Radiology Web Viewer, which are now part of the ImageGrid RIS/PACS Appliance technology suite, at SIIM 2008.

The ImageGrid RIS/PACS Appliance is designed to be a cost-effective, comprehensive medical image management and workflow solution, offering a fully integrated solution on a single hardware platform.

The ImageGrid Mammography Web Viewer and Radiology Web Viewer are diagnostic tools aiming for timely access to medical imaging studies from anywhere and at any time to improve patient care. Both viewing applications are highly scalable and designed to
accommodate multiple concurrent users without the need to invest in additional servers, said the company. As a multi-modality visualization solution, the viewers allow radiologists to view all relevant prior studies from one workstation.

For hospitals with specialty imaging departments, the ImageGrid RIS/PACS Appliance provides immediate access and diagnostic viewing capabilities from any workstation on the network. As a thin-client application, the ImageGrid Web Viewers do not require installation of costly software on every workstation on the network or at a physician’s remote workstation.

ImageGrid RIS/PACS Appliance customers have been able to reduce overall image management and visualization costs by up to 75 percent.
