Enhanced PACS Platform Includes Scheduling, Workflow Assignment, Advanced Reporting

October 19, 2010 – A new picture archive and communication system (PACS) is now available that blends many traditional RIS functions into the core PACS platform. The PicomEnterprise PACS, by ScImage offers quantifiable savings over the legacy RIS/PACS approach.

The integration of two traditionally distinct products creates a seamless and intuitive platform for managing the entire clinical process: from scheduling and modality work list, tech notes and emergency room (ER) discrepancy processing, the delivery of a comprehensive reading packet for the physician, to the flexible reporting platform. The new workflow engine also offers customer-configurable routing of exam data based on dynamic criteria for specialist reading and workload balancing.
