April 24, 2007 - Emageon announced today that it has received the number one "Overall Vendor Ranking" among major industry vendors in the new KLAS April 2007 PACS Perception Report, ranking the highest in Vendor Vision, Clinical Workflow, End User Presentation (tie)and Technology/Architecture (tie) categories.
Additionally, Emageon ranked second among large providers interviewed who had chosen PACS. The company was the only vendor to rank above average among Administrative Management, IT and Radiology respondents and was the only vendor whose "Vendor Considered" percentage increased with each measured frequency (2003, 2005, 2007).
The KLAS report included the following eight assessment components: Vendor Vision, Enterprise Usage, Clinical Workflow, Web Distribution/Remote Access, End User Presentation, Cost/Value, Technology/Architecture and integration.
