CT System Delivers Low Dose, High Clarity Cardiac Imaging

The Philips Brilliance CT 64-channel scanner reportedly provides high quality CT images of the coronary arteries and heart anatomy at low radiation dose levels and short breathholds.

The system features the Philips-exclusive Step & Shoot Cardiac imaging technique has been found to deliver up to an 80 percent dose reduction when compared to CTA scans performed on a system using helical CT technology. This method of acquisition provides high quality CT images of the coronary arteries and heart anatomy at reduced radiation dose levels and short breath-holds
