Analogic’s PowerLink non-contact power transfer systems for CT and other modalities employ rotating gantries, enable advanced volumetric scanning technology. PowerLink transfers power from the stationary gantry to the rotating disc without brush contacts. This design reportedly reduces downtime and maintenance costs for CT systems and opens up space on the gantry for hybrid/multi-modality capabilities.
CT Power Transfer System Enables Advanced Volumentric Scanning
Images from computed tomography (CT) colonography show segmented abdominal aortic calcification measured with semiautomated CT tool on coronal image. Within region of interest over aorta selected by user, tool automatically segments and quantifies aortic calcification (shown in blue).
